My art is about symbology, antiquity, metaphysics, and their expressions in current socio-economic arenas. My intent is to blur the lines between defined myths, theories, and the allusively evolving perspective of fact. In the development of this painting style, the paint is mixed with a clear acrylic medium, retaining each vein of pure color, as if frozen, giving the impression and illusion of movement. Each color is dropped into a bowl with the medium. The intent is honest movement of pouring onto the canvas, by blending contact with the canvas. Each painting keeps it's recognizable form, while simultaneously representing a combination of light, vibration, color, and sound. The goal for my work is to engage conversation of fixed perspectives and develop new insights to previously held biases. I ask: what constitutes eternal and momentary connection and disconnection?
